MONDAY 10:27 AM / SUMMER HEAT° AUG 12, 2002
I DO HAVE THINGS TO SAY. SO MANY THINGS THAT I CAN'T GET THEM OUT OF MY HEAD.
um. I forget. I can't seem to get it all down. It all circles around in my head. Need portable tape recorder to speak into when thinking of things to write. I think I'll do a study of my belts. Later.
FRIDAY 10:45 AM / 70° JULY 26, 2002; KRISTY'S BIRTHDAY
So like if you get espresso grounds in your eye, is that like ingesting uber-caffeine, mainline-like??
these scenes were seen:
SO BASTILLE DAY HAPPENED AND I FORGOT TO WEAR MY BERÉT
TUESDAY 3:03 PM / I HAVEN'T BEEN OUTSIDE YET TODAY° JULY 16, 2002
Launch July4 SlideShow

went to baltimore. great to see a new city and SG. fell down a wet escalator. groove marks. only hurts when i breathe. but saw good art. and speaking of painful, saw holocaust museum. very well done and informative. difficult. ate good food, that part was easy.
and then this has been going on:
BOWL FULL OF CHERRIES IS A LIFE
THURSDAY 5:23 PM / A COOL 79° JULY 11, 2002
You've Missed Me. I've Missed You. Let's catch up.
I went to see the Tom Cruise sci fi flick. Great fun, and I agree completely with Red.
Correcting misconceptions: We never actually got in to the MoMA QNS opening, that night, despite invite. See, that's why all my photos are of us non-entrees standing out in the rain.
Sxx, fresh from Prague, moved in for a few months... we have matching eye-pillows to mask the bright street lights that shine in on us while we sleep.
I want to be French, really really bad sometimes.
Or just speak it fluently.
Fourth of July on L.I. with good friends and food and pool. Slideshow forthcoming.
We went to see The War Photographer; Go if you get the chance. Heavy, though. Don't eat popcorn during it.
We went to see Robert Altman's Three Women. Read what Film Forum says, and you'll wish you'd seen it too.
Went to an opening/party at The Whitney Museum [of American Art] last night. Slideshow forthcoming. Spreads of food: unending bowls full of cherries, strawberries, plums, grapes; salami!; paté; brie, gouda, breads with fruits and nuts; free wine; free apple martinis; oh and great art! The Recent Acquisitions in Photography is a must-see: Flows like a comprensive survey of American photography, chronologically. Wasn't expecting such delight! Joan Mitchell Retrospective, too: highlight being the first painting you see when the elevator doors open to the floor. Don't mess around while you're there, see the Michal Rovner: The Space Between show, too. Mainly go for her video of birds, so abstracted at times they turn into airplanes, flying missles, cells, amoebas, back to birds, to static, to spots on your retina, and then birds again.
I'm going to Baltimore. Hello thrift stores and pink flamingos; or maybe it will be a bit more like Pecker? I'm looking forward to DC museums, including this show: Open City: Street Photographs since 1950
NYTimes wrote an article on Bloggers in NYC and nycbloggers.com. Who was the first to register under the Bedford L stop? Yes, that's right...See how I'm LAST in the list? That means I was first. Write them and tell thim to reverse the order to ascending. Or maybe don't.
